About
Influx is a DJ collab based in Amsterdam, playing Bass Music including Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Bass House and anything else you can fit in that row. A massive amount of energy and music is literally what they would like to be seen, which happens to be their artist name: influx.
‘’Keep the people dancing, keep the people going’’ is their motto because they like to surprise their audience with their energetic sound.
Inspired by a fellow DJ friend, they soon discovered their love for Drum & Bass and Dubstep. However, Influx is never afraid to reach further and try out other genres such as Bass House, Psytrance or even some Moombahton. In the process of creating their distinctive mixes, they get inspired by artists like Dimension, Andrometik, Polygon and SubFocus.
Influx already played sets at major festivals such as Liquicity Festival and NOX. They have been called a ‘’great potential’’ by Cyantific and can, according to Dusky, be described as ‘’the equivalent of a Red Bull Vodka’’.
The duo met at Liquicity Festival in 2016 where they were standing next to each other at the closing set and shouting out every song in sync. After realizing that they have the same music taste, they started hanging out and became friends directly. Both already shared a passion for music and it was undeniable that this should be the beginning of something bigger. After only three month since their first encounter, they decided to follow that passion together and became Influx.
Inspired by the sound of Dimension and the composition of a great Drum & Bass track, they started developing themselves as artists. With their first official booking at Fiber, Influx quickly arose to the Dancefloor DJ powerhouse they are today. Since then they have played at countless events, including Liquicity Festival.
In the future, Influx aims to continue their image as a DJ duo. Apart from that, they are working hard on producing their own music and are expecting their first releases soon. Along the way, their biggest dream would be releasing at major labels such as Liquicity and NCS and a collaboration with Andromedik.
Ideally, Influx wants to do more powerful live performances, preferably every weekend. In the end, they want to grow so big that they can also spread their good vibes internationally.
